left line fader gives out strange midi messages

left line fader gives out strange midi messages

i just connected my vci to my macbook after a gig on saturday and my left line fader keeps giving out strange midi messages.

if it’s up and i press it again up it gives out the following messages (midi monitor log)

in traktor it goes back down a little bit and finds it way to full peak after a while (which is right acording to the midi messages).

do you think it’s fully broken or can i clean it with alcohol, i put it appart already, but could see any dirt or other stuff inside the fader.
how can i clean it properly? i couldn’t get inside the fader :disappointed:

i know that there are some other threads but, none of those i found really helped..

I’ve got the same problem it seems with my right fader…anyone solved this?

well, i still have this problem once in a while, but after cleaning it with isopropanol (70%) it got better..

you have to clean the faders.
i had the same thing with the crossfader and after some cleaning it got better (and is gone now)

seh grad deutsch geht auch. :wink: ich hab mit einem stück pappe den fader von außen gereinigt, sicherlich nicht die top lösung aber hat funktioniert.
