now I don’t know wether to get the 'Vestax Vci-400, or the Kontrol S2.
I like them both, but want to know what some more ‘experienced’ people would choose.

It depends how you like to play…what you have played on before…etc

Both get a lot of love on DJTT and you will see mappings for both and support on both etc.

There should be a dumb proof guide stating the obvious and not so obvious differences between the S2 and the S4 for people to read, learn and stop posting the same thread every time. Even if the OP is asking about the VCI 400… but it’s kinda related. Dunno why I’m throwing that idea in here lol. If I had the experience with the 2 controllers I’d do such guide, but I don’t.
Anyway… to the OP: main question is, will you be using 4 decks? As some others said, choosing a controller is all about your mixing style. Buy what you need, not what’s apparently better for the rest.
if you go to the blog tho Most controllers are reviewed inc,all the vci’s and NI controllers and they way up the pros and cons of each and go in to a lot of detail,i am sure you can make up your mind from that.
digital dj tips have reviewed and made a downloadable pdf of something like 160 controllers… start there or yeah use the search function… maybe someone should make a poll of all the main controllers that everyone can vote for their favorite. That might stop these threads… but probably not.
