take the week off! let our community do some work for you. Most forum members have great Topic ideas so you should let 2 community members a day make articles for a weak.”
So what do you think? How would it work exactly?
There would need to be 3-5 teams of 2 people that work together and one volunteer editor that manages it all. I am very open to the idea but just wondering how:
Quality Control? Its the djtt-forum. we do have some quality members, and i am sure that the one or the other stood out before with interesting topics, those are the guys that should write i think.
And self management? Do you mean it like topics to settle on and so forth? How about polls? Or the good old discussion?
I think this would be great. There are plenty of djtt’ers that care enough about the community to make sure the quality is up to par. But, i don’t thick you should completely step out, you should have the final say on what goes up on your site.
A little off topic. How did you like the mapping i sent you for Serato 2.0. I’ve updated it a little since then, and have made alot of custom fx presets for more control. Also i’ve deleted the stock effets, so i don’t have to cycle through the junk to get to the fx that i need.
I’m In! Great Idea,
I think it may have to be a case of people with the most post’s on the forum get to write but that could be construed as unfair…It could just be case of choosing a trusted member of the forum as an editor and people who want to get involved write a brief and send it to the editor and he would team two members together who want to write about similar things, or even a VS debate about a certain subject for two contrasting opinions. I would like to see some artist reviews of sets/nights on DJTT at some point in the future, obviously people really pushing controllerism in different and interesting equipment use.
Interested in contributing with someone on an article. As I’m still quite green at DJing, I would love to do experience vs noob point of view with a veteran.
Can you set up logins for the back end where articles are submitted, but throttle permissions so they could only write?
Might be cool to see a what does being a DJ mean to you theme for a couple of articles. Or one article with different view points in it. I’m 40 years old and haven’t DJ’d for 20 years, but with the lower cost to get in to the game now compared to then I’m back. My reasons and motivations are most probably different from a large portion of the rest of the crowd getting into DJ’ing.
I think we should walk before we run. Everything goes thru ean as our editor of sorts lol. That way he can insure the quality is there that he’s always been so insistent about.
xtianw, your probably write. How about we just start with one day a week? Forum Friday maybe? And we simply write up articles and submit them to be put up on friday?
I know I’ve got some ideas about midi-map design that I could explain. But I’d need an editor I have a heap of trouble writing coherent sentences.
the idea is good but i’d keep it in a structured environment. yeah, we’re a pretty close community..but this is still the internet. stuff like this can go downhill fast, fall apart, etc. i’d say line the content up, have members be editors and all that, but not live-action style.
