Using lighting desk as midi controller > Midi or Midi out
Just looking through the range of reasonably priced lighting desks with uber numbers of faders and buttons and a better build quality by miles than the majority of midi controllers.
I know some DO have midi out, but generally seems to be limited to scene selection rather than transmitting the fader data.
What I was thinking is that the likes of complex macros could most likely be triggered from a pre-programmed desk at the touch of a button - interesting ?
I have seen some elaborate DMX > Midi convertors but in the $300 bracket.
Any other options out there maybe a USB > Dmx dongle and software to convert the signal to midi.
