I’ve gone through this before… there seem to be hardly any out there, and even when you do find a model with a multi TT chip in it, often if you research further you will find that it’s not actually operating as multi TT anyway.
My conclusion was that so few people are actually using them that I’m not sure they’re even needed.
I have an Expedit Ikea unit which is on castors at right angles to my main desk, and I have added a shelf using the angled supports
I will add a couple of other shelves that will have various controllers on it as I expand.
at the moment I want to put my ipad and mobile on charge, to reduce the number of mains power sockets needed, along with a Korg NanoKontrol2, Original Novation LaunchPad, my custom controller (using the UMC-32 from www.HaleMicro.com) and maybe a USB light?
Having a hub on this mobile unit will reduce the number of cables to the main desk. (along with the 5pin Din and a power cable from my music keyboard)
I bought this hub in November and it shows up in Task Manager as a Multi-TT hub, although I haven’t tested it with any USB 1.1 devices. Is there a proper way of verifying it as MTT?
you say task manager, or did you mean device manager?
I like the fact there are 2 ports that will do 1.2 amp charging too (iPad and mobile) better than the mains charger I have at the moment… 1.5 on one port with a low 500ma on the other output.
What windows software is provided with it for iOS (iPad) sync?
Grab a D-Link DUB-H7, it’s the one that Native Instruments use in-house for testing. I got one a little while ago and use it live with 2 x CDJ2000NXS, 2 x X1mk2 and 1 x F1 plugged into it. Flawless. It also has a couple of fast charge ports if you need to get other stuff (phones, iPads etc) charged up at the gig, lol.
I’m pretty sure that’s the one he bought if he followed the link from earlier in this thread. I also have 2 of these and have never had any problems with them…
Seem’s weird that it malfunctioned, they are known for being rock solid and I’ve got 2 that I use on a regular basis perfectly. Maybe you just got a bad one??
What are you running through it, and are you using it with the power supply?
running (was till it gave up) an original launchpad, and a pair of allen & heath k2 (connected together by an Ethernet cable, so one usb cable to the hub)
and yes it was plugged into the mains as well.
no audio just using midi from the k2
I have no other ideas here unfortunately, I plug mine into a USB2 port so there might be some compatibility issue with plugging it into a USB3 port, but I thought that USB3 was fully backward compatible with USB3.
