In the Electro/Prog House Genre, I feel uplifting or “happy” tunes are hard to come by as most producers these days are writing in minor keys because “Dirty” is in right now.
So I am looking for something a bit happier, and more uplifting. Stuff around the 125 - 128bpm range.
if thats along the lines your looking for ive around 50 tracks of that style, but im drunk and my gig bag is nowhere to be seen (i sort everything on CDs)
So ill post in the morning x
@ Hoodless:
*Eh… great try but not exactly what I was looking for. It’s kind of lacking the innocence that The songs I posted have.
If I could add anything to the sense of style, it would be that the music has a nostalgic innocence to it. Like you listen to it and think “Aww man… this reminds me of that time when I did that real fun thing with all my friends and life was so much simpler or happier” blah blah blah.
Okay now I know I’m going so overboard with how specific I’m being but it would be nice to put together a “happy” house set.
@ keeb:
yes. Nice find. Have you heard the Knife party remix? I’m sure you have. No it’s not happy but damn awesome nonetheless.
@ Nicadraus:
Yes exactly. It’s not quite as big as I would like, but I think it could slot into a happy House set just fine.
Other tracks I found that reflect the style I’m looking for:
Kaskade Feat. Mendy Gledhill - Eyes
Awation 2 - Fly In Your Dreams
Thanks so much for the help guys, Keep em coming if you can!
Yeah it’s great. I just don’t like dropping quite that much in tempo during my sets, personally. I also added in a calvin harris track with a more prog feel to it.
Mate do you know anymore artists or have anymore leads on what to look for with that style? Just had a look on YouTube at vince Watson and I love some of his tunes just can’t find that type of music anywhere! reminds me of reworked old rave
Glad you like Vince Watson. You could check out any of the nu-Detroit techno artists. Watson is one of the few dance music producers I actually like nowadays, original, clever style, dares to be himself.
What about,
eric prydz - 2night
DEvolution - good love (alesso remix)
Sebastian ingrosso + alesso - calling
Nadia ali - Rapture (avicii edit)
Most things remixed by Esquire (Glasgow producer, free tracks from his facebook im sure.)
