Looking to Edit a track

Hey everyone!

I’m kind of new at music production and just getting the hang of ableton. I’m looking for help in editing a track for digital DJ play. The track itself has some vocals that I would like to remove.

Here is the track:

Skip ahead to 33 seconds and you hear a female vocalist and this repeats throughout the song. Came across a live set that plays it without the vocal part.

Right now I am struggling with removing the parts because the track doesn’t stay at a normal 4 bars sound. I spent hours trying to get it right by removing a part and replacing it with another part, but no luck.

Any pointers?

Without the vocal part it would sound like any regular haus beat.

You might not be able to completely re-create the track w/o vocals (the reverb tail on the vocals might cause you some problems) - but you should be able to bang something together that is at least playable…

Yeah the vocals are really screwing it up. Maybe the version I heard really didn’t have the vocals on the track and it’s truley unreleased.
