Lvl 80 sell-out, or epic business idea?

Go!

Just sad.

This.

heh we should make a really obviously garbage tune, and then do something like this to have it sell a couple hundred copies in a day and get it charted :stuck_out_tongue: it would be interesting to see if it would be viewed as trash or if people would actually start listening to it cause it charted

if you have to buy off people to download your song, you need to work on a new song.

Where did you find this?

So what would this realistically do for a track?

I mean 50-100 sales in a week, it’s not like that would get it onto the top 100 or anything?

i have a friend that charted in the top 100 a few times…he told me that his numbers sold were relatively small…i will text him with his highest charted record and how many it sold…

This has got to be some 15 year olds (no offense to the 15 year olds here, you guys are cool) brilliant scheme. Maybe I’m a little slow, but is this guy asking for someone to sell his tracks for him so that he gets paid? It says nothing about the “sales rep” earning their bank…

I say, pretty good troll on his part, no way is this legit

I can’t see why it wouldn’t be legit ?

To me anyhow the job advertised is to gain exposure for the new track(s) for a label / individual by employing someone in a marketing capacity to flood the likes of blogs/social networks etc with spin and gain sales for a fee of $x amount.

… if you are paying someone $300/$400 for 500 sales @ at what $2 a piece they might not make any real money for a while but would (I think) make enough to cover the cost of the initial endeavor if he’s running his own label and gain exposure he otherwise would not have.

CD charts were so much easier to fix though :stuck_out_tongue:

At least he is offering realistic money for the job unlike the one below :open_mouth:

Hate to tear down the 4th wall and all, but song sales on beatport aren’t going platinum anytime soon. The amount of people who pirate songs vastly outnumber the guys who champion supporting the artist.

Maybe not in a week but I remember lazy rich said something like 150-200 sales in a day could send someone to the top of the charts (which really isn’t that much in the whole scheme of things)
