Macbook charger

Macbook charger

Basically have a humming noise comming from speakers when i use an non apple macbook charger, but when i used my genuine Apple charger it doesnt.

Do i get this humming because its a fake charger? Or doesnt it maatter

Because it’s not a genuine apple charger. Not grounded properly, and it could, in fact cause damage eventually to your macbook ports.

I’ve had this exact same problem and it was causing my usb devices to spark everytime i plugged them in to the macbook pro USB ports, while the charger was in. Caused humming too, w/ my usb soundcard.

I’ve since bought an official apple charger from the apple store, and everything is okay now.

Honestly, im not one of those “go buy this go buy that you have to buy this” kind of person. But i really do encourage you to get a proper apple charger, and just pay out the full price, instead of keep buying these fake ones.

I kept buying knock-off ones form eBay for like £30, becasue i didnt want to pay £65 from Apple. My mistake, as i ended up getting FOUR within 6 months, as they ended up just not working anymore, and causing problems. So, i spent nearly two hundred freaking pounds over nearly a year on know off chargers, with my ‘i just dont wanna pay that much for a real one’ mentality, and i ended up spending more.

Seriously, save up, get a proper one. Chances are, if this fake one buggers up your macbook, apple may say they wont do anything about it for you, as the charger, that caused the problem isnt officially apple.
