Main-Stream Songs For Mixing (Billboard)

So for mixing mainstream songs, that don’t normally have a “strong” beat, to sync from one song to the next, would it be wise to:

  1. Grab the original song and add breakbeats on ableton so I can transition?
  2. Download a remix off youtube.

Off-topic: What are you guys opinions on remixes off youtube? Is it ‘lame’?

Off-topic: Yes, downloading music off YouTube is a bit lame. You know deep down that it’s wrong, just don’t do it!

Seriously though, if you’re prepared to make your own re-edits, why are you considering option 2)?
