Mapping the Tempo Display on the CDJ 2000 Nexus

How do you map the tempo display when using HID mode on the CDJ 2000 Nexus? It’s selectable as a control in the controller manager and I can’t get it to respond. Everything is up to date by the way.

You can’t map the BPM readout on the CDJ display. It only receives HID data directly from compatible DJ software.

Oh right, sorry I was referring to the wrong thing. I was trying to map the tempo RANGE not the BPM readout. the tempo range shows up as a mappable output in traktor but it doesn’t seem to respond to any commands.

The real question is, why would ou even use software with 2000 Nexus’, seems a bit redundant to me.

There are quite a few things I can do in traktor that I can’t do on the CDJ, for example I use beatjumping all the time and it’s not possible on the nexus. However I like the feel of the CDJ with the large jog wheel, tempo slider and others and I’d have to bring a rather large controller to get that without using the CDJs
