Mark Knight - Sax (Your Opinion)
Just wanted to get you dorks opinions on this track :
I think it’s a nice strong house track. It would make the females shake their asses and it’s got a nice latin feel over the top which is trendy right now.

It’s a bit stronger than I expected, yeah and that uplifting latin feeling is nice.. unfortunately Toolroom and the like always feel like 8 minutes of hi-hat loops for me. This might be nice to get a party going though
I think it sounds like a million other dance tracks that have saxes and percussion. Its available on Beatport.
Sounds like hes doing his own version of last years SEBO K & METRO - Saxtrack
Agreed. Its OK, but with no differentiating hook, something that makes it stand out, its just filler.
Phil.
I found it boring…
but pure house is boring for me so you can’t expect a nice opinion from me…

I just wouldnt consider it “house music”.
I know Genre talk is boring but that aint what i call house.
Dunno, its just boggo dance music to me.
There is no need fort this track to go on 8 minutes, it’s a fine tune, just way too long without any real change…After about 4 minutes I just got bored
It’s an ok tune, but I wouldn’t play any more than three or four minutes of it either.
^ digging that one for sure
Remake of the Laurent Garnier classic?
Phil.
Phil… I love you.
That is a proper classic track. 10 fucking years ago…
Ive got it blasting on my Mac right now.

Remake of the Laurent Garnier classic?
Phil.
[/quote] Yes. The original is ten times better, they just added new beats and made it more commercial and chessy.
Thanks for the opinions. I think it (Mark Knight - SAX) will work in a crowd that likes house. Good rhythm, a bit repetitive maybe mix in before the break and out after.
That other Laurent Garnier rip-off track has no bassline so it doesn’t interest me.
I just hate how they don’t give Laurent Garnier any credit, seems like they are trying to get away with making it seem like it’s their own original track.
They did give Laurent Garnier credit. Am sure i read somewhere that all the profits from that remake went straight to Laurent.
MK even stated that they knew it was a classic and only wanted to add todays feel on it, but still loved the original more.
my 2 cents worth.
tbh i’d prob just play it under something else a bit more exciting, and use this as some additional percussion/sax sample
