This is totally possible with modifiers.
Button A sets modifiers 1=1, 2=0, 3=0, 4=0
Button B sets modifiers 1=0, 2=1, 3=0, 4=0
Button C sets modifiers 1=0, 2=0, 3=1, 4=0
Button D sets modifiers 1=0, 2=0, 3=0, 4=1
.. or something similar
You need to ‘clear’ the other modifiers to 0 because otherwise pressing B after A sets 2 modifiers = total confusion!!
Before purchasing my VCI I used my Maschine with the stock mapping. It was a lot more fun than using just a keyboard, but I always missed the EQ. This mapping looks well thought out and gives you a bunch more features, but still no EQ… Has anyone come out with a mapping that has this as well, or would it just be too hard with the encoders bouncing all over the place?
I would get the normal version if you can, since you’re not able to resell the educational version. However, if you don’t think you’ll ever want to sell it and aren’t planning on using it for commercial purposes (or at least not ones big enough for NI to notice lol) then I think it’s about a hundred bucks cheaper for the edu version. The NI rep I was emailing back and forth with assured me that the versions are exactly the same in terms of functionality, just that you can’t ever transfer the license once it’s used for the edu one.
Sorry to jack a thread but I’ve got a question and since theres so many maschine threads floating about recently I didn’t wanna start another one
When using Maschine with traktor, when I move a knob in the traktor software with my mouse, should it not also update on the displays of the maschine? Is this possible? Cause if it isn’t…thats a huge drawback…I was planning on using two knob pages to control FX 1 and 2 and then FX 3 and 4
The pad banks A- H only control the pads. There are also another 2 buttons used to switch the top knobs and buttons. The 3 knobs on the side are not affected by the change of banks. You don’t need modifiers to change pad banks, it’s built into the hardware.
