Maschine MK2 Sample Play Button On Hardware??

Ok,

Just got a maschine and love it. Was trying to cut up samples and cant work out for the life of me what the sample play button is on the hardware…

Any ideas? I’ve made a screen grab of what i’m talking about.. tearing my hair out :rage::rage::rage:

Just hit the appropriate pad.

Yeah it was playing the whole sample which was doing my nut but I worked out you got to turn off one shot and set to adsr

Yup. I just ought one myself just under a week ago and it’s flacking amazing. Missus is a bit unhappy since I now live in my bedroom mashing out hip hop anthems.

You can just choke everything by pressing SHIFT + MUTE.

Still seems a bit odd not to just have a map for that button but no drama now i got two workarounds

The pads do that.

yo, doesn’t matter now it’s worked out.

But when you drag a new long sample onto a pad before slicing and you press the the pad it keeps playing it (yes you can choke it)

But when you click (with the mouse) that little sample play button it just plays it as long as your clicking on it. I was seeing if there was a button on the maschine that had that instant behaviour…

To get this behaviour from the pad you need to come out of sampling and change the sound from one shot to ADSR then go back into it then it will only play the noise as long as you are holding the pad (this is what i want at that moment)
