I didn’t look into this mapping jet but if there aren’t any modifiers going on it should be pretty easy.
Add In > FX Unit > FX Store Preset
Just map it to all four Beatmash buttons and assign to corresponding FX unit.

Cool, thanks. Strange that it wouldn’t already be in there, since the mapping has been road tested by some pro DJs. I’ll take a closer look.
I had some weird issues with adding the Preset store. Not sure why but I would still get a weird pop in the audio. The way around this is a very subtle tap of the pad to “prime” the effect. Taurus the Producer who used this at Low End Theory Japan said this is the only effective way for it to be fool proof and not act weird with the FC preset store command.
Thanks for the response. That’s weird. Stewe, do you have any idea why that would happen?
Priscilla going H.A.M. as always! Love the routine, and always grateful for the walk-through.
Thanks!
Nope. Never had this issue in my mappings even with ‘restore parameters while switching FX’ checked.
The only issue I found with store preset is that preset won’t work while loading certain effects in to some of slots in unit 2 and 3.
Thank You!
Hehe. Thanks

ahh that makes sense.
Awesome routine, awesome mapping! I don’t even have a Maschine, but I’m always looking for more mapping techniques to work into the controllers I do have, thanks a lot.
No problem. Let me know how you adapt it to other controllers.
I’ve been using this mapping since you released it publicly, and it is now an essential part of my workflow.
However, it’s so close to perfect, but I really wish there was a way to also use it on Decks C and D.
A and B are my track decks, and C is my remix deck. D is live input. I would love to be able to use the effects on (especially) my remix deck. If I turn on an effects unit on deck C, it gets shut off the moment I press a button on the Maschine controller. Obviously I could make deck A a remix deck, but then I lose the ability to use this mapping’s effects on that track deck.
What would be the easiest way for me to make this work correctly for me? Should I edit the mapping to remove commands that automatically turn off effects units for deck C when buttons are pushed on the Maschine controller? Or, would it be possible to map additional Maschine banks for controlling deck C/D?
I would greatly appreciate any insight. And, Stewe I would love your guidance as well!
Need more input on how mapping currently address buttons I afraid.
As for now I can suggest changing selection to this concept that I use in my mappings in 4FX unit mode:
If that was me I’d probably go adding this for buttons A,B,C,D as a deck focus so you can select deck and route your FX units to that deck in a single press. And the shift function locks the focus and allow multiple deck selection buttons. I call it the “unit focus” feature ![]()

Next step would be making use of the button row next to pads as a pad function (7 plus shift) and this would be optional for each deck separately. I know it sound quite complex to work for some people but true potential of this controller is endless as well as your performance mapping tools.
Thanks for the quick reply, Stewe! That’s exactly what I would love to be able to do with this mapping, but I’m not sure the easiest way to get there.
Would it also be a quicker (less elegant) solution if I took out the commands that shut off the effects units on other decks when effects are engaged? Right now, here’s how this mapping works. By pressing the A group button, the Maschine pads will activate various effects or cue points on deck A. Pressing B does the same for deck B. For the knobs at the top, the 4 left knobs/buttons control effects for deck A and the 4 on the right control deck B, regardless of which Group button is pushed. Group button, as mentioned, just changes the pads.
When pressing a pad (or turning a knob) to activate an effect (like beatmasher, for example), the effect will activate for only the selected deck. However, the problem is that it also DEACTIVATES any effects units that are on for other decks. This is the command I would like to remove. At least I could then turn on effects units for deck C by using the pads assigned normally for A or B (whichever isn’t currently playing a track).
What specific commands would I be looking for to remove this “deactivation” when pressing a pad or turning a knob?
Yeah, first thing remove all of the Unit route commands and replace them with this concept. Now since the upper buttons are addressing same effects to specific deck from both sides you probably want to delete one set of commands (clone) and replace them with some other effects that you like the most.
The commands you’re looking for are Mixer > FX Unit 1,2,3,4 On
