Maschine on American Music Awards

Maschine on American Music Awards

Did anyone see Ke$a’s performance where it was used as a prop? And I hate her btw haha.

goddamit. why her?

Prop how so? I ‘missed’ it.

I could have sworn there was no action from her mashing on the pads, but then again I was not really paying attention to the performance. If I had to guess though it was probably a prop (There were at least 7 other midi controllers there too).

Oh boy…thats just awful… I literally just picked up my Maschine yesterday.

the thing i hate the most is the dj in the background of some shows who pretends to be doing something but really isnt…

i lost count of people who actually think all we do is move a record back and forth with headphones on

sigh

lady gaga just picked one up tonight

Quick question, which is a bit off-topic but I heard from some dude at GC (I know thats a very very shitty reference to use) that the Maschine only works with MacBooks and not Imacs?

It’s pretty much the dumbest thing i’ve ever heard, or close to it, but I want to double check if there is any truth to this.

Wow, that’s one hell of an idiot.

HAHAHAHAHA
i just posted a rant thread and now that i read that, i feel much better

HAHAHAHA
oooohhh boy

Hahaha, I figured! I was like “Uhhm… how? They both run the same OS and everything” and he was like “No, I just returned one yesterday because some guy could not get it to connect to his iMac. I tried it at the store as well and it would not work.”

I proceeded to suggest that maybe the Maschine was just a defective one, and he laughed at me =[. Then the other guy there completely agreed with me.

One good thing that came out of the trip there was that I found out that neither the HDJ-1000s, Some DJing Sonys, and some Heath and Allen were all head phones I did not like. I’m actually honestly contemplating dishing out the cash and picking up a Beats Studio Pro headphones. Any feedback on if i’m being a retard or not with that decision?

You’re last comment sums it up.Please try and find another headphone.

As far as I can find on the net, Beats are good, though the pricetag is ridiculous. Try the Ultrasone DJ1 Pro, AiAiAi TMA-1, Sennheiser HD25II, Pioneer HDJ2000 if you’re looking at that price range.

But, getting back on topic… Popstars faking it out on MIDIcontrollers… I know there was a reason why I did not start with a Tenori on.

Hahahaha, well Tekki the thing is - I understand they are over priced, but when I compared the little cheaper versions of the headphones to my 3 year old Bose Around Ear Headphones - I was not impressed. I liked the Beats Pro by themselves when I tried them out at Bestbuy, I do not want to spend $400, but if I have to spend $400 and love my headphones instead of $250 and not like it much - then i’d rather spend the $400.

Just keep checking until satisfied bro’!

Thanks Tekki! I am like 99.99% sure at this point that i’ll end up with the Beats since there is no where near here that I can test drive the HDJ-2000s and Senns. Although its going to severely hurt my pockets, i’d rather buy something I like. That and i’ll buy the warranty from Best Buy so if they crap out i’m good for 3 - 4 years .

I’d say buy the senns, I’ve been using mine for two years now and I’ve had no problems. On the point of Beats, I never really liked them, EVER. They’re over stylized and just way to bass heavy, which tends to be a problem when I try and cue up a track.

Now that was one hell of a crap performance. I’m impressed.

You missed the intro of the song when she actually presses 3 times on the Maschine tabs.
Even though I dont like her music, she seems like one pretty cool person. And she’s hot.

I’d tap dat.

+10

LOL like i recorded that footage… but yeah that bit was probably the best bit.

I didnt see it though.
