Maschine question

I’m borrowing my cousin’s Maschine controller to create a nice Traktor mapping for it. Problem is that he can’t find the disk.

I don’t really need to install the Maschine software, as it will only be used as a midi controller in Traktor, so I was wondering whether they are just plug and play or does the hardware need registering? What drivers will I need?

thanks for the response. Got it all working now.

Does anyone know how to remove the velocity sensitivity from the pads in the controller editor? I don’t know what settings to alter.

Just discovered that after about 3 mins of performing with it the maschine stops sending midi and won’t work!

Is there a way to fix this or have i just wasted a day mapping it all out?
