MF Utility and Ableton 10

Hi folks. With Ableton Live 10.0.2 open, MF Utility produces a ‘NO MIDIFIGHTER DETECTED’ message in nice pale blue sans serif letters with ‘Device is locked by another application. Please close that application to continue.’ underneath. Surely it must be possible to have both apps open at once yeah? I’m on a PC running Windows 10.

Cheers

The Gimp

That is thing with Windows. The MIDI port can not be shared between two or more apps (unlike the OS X)

so how come other midi devices can work on my laptop with both Ableton live and Traktor?

No editing Midifighter twister when in ableton, TF?

TF this for real?
I seem to think there must be a solution,
other then to close ableton every time you want to make adjustments…
Roli products can do it real time, so why doesn’t the midifighter?

Best regards,
G
