MF Utility bilnks between MF Twister and “No Midifighter Detected”

I have MF Utility 2.85 on Windows 10. My MF Twister is plugged directly into the computer’s USB port.

When I launch MF Utility, it blinks back and forth every second between showing my MF Twister and “No Midifighter Detected”

On the bottom left of the window, it says “Connection closed”

I got the utility to stop flashing by unplugging all my other USB devices.

But do you still have to??

I am getting the same thing. If I unplug every device on my computer, the MFT utility works. But as soon as I plug something in, even one of my devices, it starts flashing between the screen and "nothing connected?

I have the same issue on mac with the 2.9 version of the software.

Anyone can help?

Same here. Anyone has a solution to this. Got my MF today and was really looking forward using it. Would be a pity to send it back to the store but at the moment it is of no use. Any support highly appreciated

PS: Updated to 2.90. Doesn’t change anything

Have found a solution

Hello,
I had the same issue :blinking beetween MF Twister and “No Midifighter detected” :

  • When I unplug my USB sound card (Focusrite Scarlett 8i6) the blinking stops. If I plug again this card, the blinking starts again
  • When I try to use my second Focusrite USB card (Scarlett 18i8) , I have the same issue
  • When I use my Sound card Komplete Audio 6, no blinking, the MF twister works well.
  • When I use my RME sound card, the MF Twister works well.

So I just can say that the MF Twister seems to be incompatible with the Focusrite Scarlett sound cards. It should be a good thing that everybody that have this issue could write here which kind of sound card he is using.
Perhaps there are other kind of incompatible USB hardware?
