MF utility problem

MF utility problem

so i just unboxed my 3d, and installed the MF utility for windows. running windows 7 64 bit sp1. when i try to open the utility i get the error:

mf_utility.exe- application error
the application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b.) click ok to close the application.

ive uninstalled, re-downloaded, reinstalled… all with no change.

any ideas?

also, when attempting to install it on my xp tower, i get the error:this program requires windows NT version 6.0 or later.
