MF3D Goes Blank in HID Mode in Traktor

MF3D Goes Blank in HID Mode in Traktor

Hello DJTT Community,

I cannot get the HID Mode (remix decks) to work in Traktor and it is driving me insane. I have legit software and have had a brand new Midi Fighter 3D for a few months. When I switch to HID mode, the fighter just goes blank and unresponsive except I am able to switch it out of HID mode. Then the FX work as intended again. I have tried all decks as remix decks.

I have been trying to use Ean’s “Jam On It” Mapping. I found that in the Midi Fighter Utility, under the HID functions, the right side button 3 is marked as the HID mode toggle while the Quick Guide marks it as RS button 2. Correcting this, however, does not solve my problem.

I have been able to get various FX mappings to work for the must part but never the remix decks. I have everything updated, tried all reflashes and restarts but HID mode never does anything. Following the MF HID Mode pdf does not help either. I am on Windows 8. I have been producing for years on FL Studio and I would love to start making some Remix Sets for the community!

Any suggestions? Do I have a faulty unit? Thanks for any insight!

Hey Boozhi,

There is currently a compatibility issue with how the Remix Firmware works with Windows 8 and the latest versions of Traktor, you should be able to regain control over it by rolling back to 2.6.8 while we work on it.

This guide should have everything you need.

Thanks

Thanks padi_04!

I ended up trying Apple OSX firmware and it started working right away but then the MF Utility wouldn’t recognize it anymore. Uninstalled the Kontrol F1 driver (under Device Management), as that was what the Midi Fighter had just installed as when the firmware switched. After the restart, almost everything’s as it should be.

Only problem now is I have an LED (#6) that spontaneously triggers no matter what mapping. Not really sure what to do about that.
