I’m thinking of using midi clock to sync lights and visuals to music through traktor.
As my performance changes BPM rating from 88 - 140 i’m not fond of how midi clock works.
I have seen a lot of guides of how to do B2B - and everbody sets the clock to 128bpm.
How can i send a midiclock signal of the master track using the auto function?
If it isn’t possible i was thinking about sendig BPM signal out of traktor with some kind of LED command and then convert it to a Midi Signal - would that be possible? Although then i would have to choose which deck the signal should “listen to” manually i guess?
You can use the “phase sync” output option to send a midi command for each beat. There was a post around here somewhere, but essentially, traktor uses values from -.5 to +.5, with 0 being the down beat. I have it outputting values from -.1 to +.1 with blend turned off, once per deck and it lights up a couple led’s on my home-brew controller. I also have it sending the xfader value and I have 11 leds on the top of the unit that show me the position of the xfader…
