Midi fighter 64 and utility problem

Hello,

I’m contacting you about my Midi Fighter 64, which is no longer being detected correctly by Windows.

Here are the symptoms:

  • the controller is connected directly by USB to my laptop, with no hub or adapter;

  • it does not appear in Midi Fighter Utility or in Ableton;

  • no LEDs light up when I plug it in;

  • recovery mode does not work either;

  • in Device Manager, Windows shows: “Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)”.

I have already tried the following:

  • direct USB connection;

  • uninstalling the unknown USB device in Device Manager;

  • restarting the computer and reconnecting the controller.

The issue is still exactly the same.

Could you please tell me what steps I should take next to confirm whether this is a hardware failure, or whether there is any additional recovery procedure available for the Midi Fighter 64?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Best regards,

Have you tried different cable too. Sounds like a probable hardware issue. Send an email to support@djtecthools.com and we’ll help you get it sorted
