Midi Fighter Help! How to use Echo!

Hey DJTT,
just got my mf pro (beatmasher) and love it. One problem im having is with the echo feature. I understand the concept of delaying out then echo freezing it but i have found that i can only successfully do it one out of every five tries. Is it a timing thing that I am missing? or is there some other trick?

Thanks
-Brent

What version of traktor are you using and what mapping? I had this problem a few months back when I used a mates S4. I remember changing something in the mapping to temporarily fix it.

Not quite sure what you mean. Is the problem with it not working or sounding off?

Timing Off: look by the loop recorder for the snap and quant buttons. Make sure both are on.

Sounding Weird: Are you trying to to the delay and than an echo freeze? What’s it not doing? Not freezing or is it not freezing the delayed sound?

Cheers.

I think what he means is he presses the echo button 4 times and it doesn’t echo out and on every 5th press it works. I had the same problem

I am using the s4!!! my problem is ill do it and audio will just stop with the effect on, but i cant hear any sort of echo. If i delay then I hit echo it will echo it out OCCASIONALLY (like every couple of presses). Does anybody know of any solutions?

I only had that problem on the s4 before the tp2 upgrade, then it worked fine

I am running the TP2 upgrade but still no luck. Any ideas? Im considering going into the mapping itself but I’m not very skilled with traktors midi info.

I honestly cant remember exactly what I did, just remember it was a matter of resetting one or two commands

Maybe try re-importing the TSI? I am using a MF Pro with an S4 on the latest TPro and not experiencing this issue.

I wen through resintalled and updated EVERYTHING and now it works. im still having problem with the bottom right effect button, covered in another post. Thanks guys!

try using the shift key whilst pressing the echo button. It remains on after you press it, but you don’t get the two second trailing echo sound stop problem.
