mix-101 help? please? anyone?
ok so i need sum guidance into getting the dj tech mix-101 to work with virtual dj or djmixstation3 i know this may be something that has been answered in the past and ive tried searching the forum and the net and cannot get anything goin i can use the controller with deckadance but i just cant get on with the software i prefer the other 2, would really appreciate the help i been up all night searching and got jack.
erm cmon guys please help i know its annoying with first timers asking qeustions but i have put effort into finding this info i just cant please anyone im desperate

plug your controller in, then turn on vdj pro. If its not vdj pro, don’t bother. Then (in vdj) config>MIDI>[your controller]
Then you can map it manually (plenty of that on the wiki/youtube).

mmm as soon as i plug in the controller vdj pro 7 freezes
if you still get no result, then theres a problem.
also make sure you have the latest drivers.
it seems like you have a problem with the VDJ software
your controller is a midi controller right? not a mixer or anything?
it’s not that we don’t want to help, it’s just that this forum is pretty much traktor-centric with a little bit of ableton live thrown in and a squish or two of serato and itch.
virtual dj doesn’t get mentioned too much…
ok so ive got a copy of traktor 2…and cannot ind how to setup this info would be great
dj tech let me download the traktor 2 pro mapping for mix-101 but…no info on where to put it and how to use it???
if it’s traktor LE then u can only import supported mappings via the setup wizard afaik. if it’s traktor pro then go to settings > controller manager and then import the tsi via the big import button.
In preferences, go to CONTROLLER MANAGER, click on the button at the bottom left that says IMPORT, and select the appropriate .tsi file for the controller, and you are good to go.
ok i did that nothing on the controller lit up and nothing happens when i press any button, so after clicking import i got loads o commands come up in assignments table but what do i do then ?

Is it the LE version of TP2 you have mate? If so you cant use custom mappings.

yeah seriously, vdj pro 8, then out of nowhere traktor pro 2.
..ah doesn’t change the fact that someone here doesn’t know how to midi map. 
ook… im no bullshitter i got traktor pro, traktor dj studio, virtual dj , mixstation, deckadance , music director, and reason and a few others,
to be 100% honest i think for dj’ing…yeah the mixstation lol oldie but a goldie i can mouse mix on the mixstation for about an hour 1/2 without any messups’ thats why i bought the controller so i could do multiple things at the same time. also i notice things like the mixstation has the bass’mid’treb rotary’s plus faders for each…the others dont
im more into using them …but setup im useless on
i really REALLY appreciate the help you lot have given so far do you think someone could just run down the basic’s of mapping?. like i say everything is working now except the crossfader and volume sliders.

LMAO ok guys i dunno what happened but i just started the software again…and it all works.. must have been a bad startup or something maybe i didnt restart after installing…but yeah ALL working now
