Mixed in key??
Worth it or nah?
Mixed in key??

nah
How about the program by them that sets all your volume levels equally on all your mp3’s… That i’m actually quite interested in. considering music u get off blogs arent exactly all the same volume as say ones you buy from beatport.
Mixed in key I use.
Platinum Notes is the thing that changes levels etc. I’m personally not a fan of it, for the simple reason I wouldnt really play a track if the quality wasnt up to spec anything else I can sort with some eqing. My worry is PN will colour things a bit too much. But i know a few people who use it and are happy with the results.
Beatport lists key information now, no need for MiK anymore ![]()
Don’t like the idea of Platinum notes, just decoding and the reencoding a lossy file is only going to degrade the quality (makes sense for wavs etc)
i use it! not 100% successful but good enough, and cheap too
I will second this.
I use it, but I’m considering moving away from the Camelot system. I don’t use Platinum notes as i rely n Traktors auto gain. If I played CD’s I might consider it.
I like mixed in key; have no use for platinum notes. Most of my collection is mp3 and I worry about any kind of transcoding.
For most techno and tech house I doubt mixed-in-key is of much use. The music is very much abstract so nearly anything works with anything. Maybe some Detroit melodic techno or tech house bordering on deep house would be exceptions.
Electro house has more melodies and song structure so that’s where key clashes could be heard.
Mixed-in-Key is nice but for most it is best to just learn to hear directly what sounds good and what not. One less dependency to worry about with unknown setups and music collections.
Get Beatunes. It has a key algorithm and has many other functions as well.
Don’t use platinum notes, do a side by side comparison between an analyzed track and an unanalyzed track and you will be disappointed. In my experience it sucks the life out of your tracks.
i don’t really mix in key. Unless i really hear it clash in my headphones, then I change the track to another.
i bought mixed in key not too long ago. i think its overpriced for what it is. doesnt even get half of the tracks’ keys correctly. I still find myself attempting to manually find keys to tracks using my Keyboard. =\
yep
I use it, it helps.
I got it and ran about 20% of my music through it so far going to try and mix later this evening .. Hope it was worth the 60 bucks
Rapid Evolution FTMFW! its free and works 100% awsomely
Actually it’s very useful for those genres.
