Mixtrack problem with play instant and release button
Hey there,
I bought a Numark mixtrack last week which comes with Traktor LE.
Everything its fine except for the right Play button. When I press it, nothing happend, but when i release the button the song starts to play. The left Play button is working fine… but the right one play the song when I release it. I already tried the preferences on Tracktor Transport (instant/release option) and it will not work. Any suggestions please ?
Sounds like the control is inverted. If you had Tpro it would take about 30 seconds to change this, it just means the control is activated on the midi off note rather than the midi on, and one tick box changes this. But since you can’t edit mappings in LE you might have to live with it
I haven’t used LE in years so I don’t remember which options it has with mappings. You play button is inverted or bugged. So you need to import and new .tsi if possible. If you can’t you could try running the setups wizard again. Reinstall?
I have exactly the same problem with the right play button being inverted!
difference is Im running traktor pro.
can someone help me fix it? if it can be done with a few clicks that would be great.
Ive all ready tried the reinstall the default map and going through the wizard again and doesnt fix problem
Hey Just sorted it
for anyone who has the same problem…
you need to make sure you select ‘numark mixtrack’ as the ‘device’ located:
file/control manager…top area in ‘device setup’
then scroll to ‘play/pause’ in assignment table
select ‘play pause’ for deck B (single click turns line yellow)
then choices will appear at bottom
make sure ‘invert’ box is unchecked
Obvious really
the problem is ‘numark mixtrack’ isnt selected by default in the ‘control manager -device’ even though that map is active and working it defaults to ‘pro 2 default mapping’ which doesnt show you the relevant choices/settings.
@toastertbone can you attach your tsi file to this thread please? Make sure it’s active in the controller manager then click edit>export. @cybertrash take that file and replace the tsi file you have in settings in the NI folder (not 100% sure that’s the location. If not, searching for .tsi should find it) with toaster’s file should sort you out.
Hi sorry for slow response.
yeah i can do that but im away from pc for a few days so may take a day or two
Ive since downloaded and installed mustangxz map
which after a bit of fiddling worked a treat.
you could try doing that.
you need to download his map from the traktor bible site not sure of address but youll find it.
at first it didnt work at all, nothing on the controller worked!
until you selected the correct midi in ports in the controller manager
again cant remember of the top of my head what the exact settings
thats presuming that you can edit the ports in traktor LE seems daft if you cant.
someone needs to post a vid on youtube with regards to setting the ‘mixtrack pro’ up with maps etc
