Just recently got into it and can’t get enough.. I’ve checked out a bunch of Dillon Francis’ and Munchi’s stuff… You guys have any other suggestions?

Moobahcore or Moobahton? I’ve heard of the latter, but not the former.
(tbh I’m finding it hard to feel this particular genre at the mo …)
I can’t really get into it either. Gianmarco shared this on facebook not to long ago.
Same here..
I actually enjoy the little “Moombahton” (sp?) I have heard.. I can’t get enough of the “Lets dance” followed by that siren(?) sound from this song..
I did a couple of moombahton remixes.
It’s pretty fun music, I’ve been downloading a bunch of stuff. Check soundcloud and hypemachine. I also just purchased Dave Nada unmixed compilation on beatport.
sweet ill check it out! thanks yo
I love this song, if you dont quite like the genre, songs like this might change your mind, although this could be considered a sub genre, cus theres no horns and loudness, but its great
not bothering to read the thread since its not my thing. but Hulk just posted this
moombahcore is a subgenre of moombahton. i guess the simplest way to describe the sound is that most remixes of the style are dubstep or electro house tracks that have been given a moombahton groove.
I gotta say, I’m feeling Moombahton a bunch. I did 2 remixes and one just got posted to a random blog. I did them on a whim just to see. I’ve been playing house for like a gazillion years, it’s fun to change it up.
OH YESSSSS 500TH POST, I AM A TECH GURU!!!
Here are some examples… basically stuff that sounds dubstepppy/dutch/electro house-ish with a moombahton drum beat
It seems to have that Latin flavor to it.. It will be interesting to see where they go with it..
One of my favourite tracks is Dillon Francis’s remix of Take it Back by Toddla T.
That’d be the reggaeton influence … not quite sure where the ‘moombah’ bit comes from though - think it’s actually a specific track.
Ahhh, makes sense..
I’m finding it harder and harder to keep up with Genres these days.. Seems like everyone wants to be called something new and trendy. It all goes in my “Music” folder either way, lol.

“Nada created the neologism “Moombahton” by combining the title of the track “Moombah” and the “ton” ending of the word “reggaeton” and applied it to his new genre.”

What a strange genre!
probably my favorite moombahcore track at the moment.
go search the mad decent blog for it as they were giving out a free download of the track.
Stumbled upon this when I found the Dillon Francis remix of Spacemen by Vaski when I got the whole EP, then I found Que Que by Diplo/Dillon Francis and love playing some and it really gets things going.
Sorry just saw this tread.
+1 to Chris for posting that.
Aside form the ones already mentioned, you should also check out tunes by my friend Julio (JWLS):
He has a ton of support from Diplo, Laidback Luke, Nadastrom (whom he is working on a moombahton track with) to name a few.
Some you might want to check out first are

(diplo dropped this when they did EDC Orlando together). Edit: just realized this is not moombahton lol. sorry!

(Laidback Luke drops this one all the time)
