Moving cue points,Loops from TraktorPro to TSP.?
Just went out and bought traktor scratch pro and about to install this bad boy
before i delete traktor pro how do i get my cue, loop settings etc… out and then put in to traktor scratch pro.
is it just the collection.nml file i need to save or is there anything else. Thanks
arnt they saved into the actual id3 tag im not entirely sure though
if anyone can confirm this would be great?
dont fancy setting cues again for 1000s of songs
well even once you have figured out how to do it make sure you’ve got a back up on time machine or something
just in case it should just upgrade it but you never know what’ll go wrong
Woah there captain…!!!
Dont uninstall anything.
First of, backup your NI folders and any tsi that you may have in those folders or externally saved. This install should just update Traktor rather than over right it but you must back up the NI/Traktor folder.
Make sure your Traktor Pro is udated to 1.2.6
Then open Service Centre and where you have your Traktor Serial Number replace it with your new TSP serial number.
Activate the new Serial.
Close Service Centre.
Start Traktor.
This will turn your existing TPRO into TSP. No un/installation needed.
All your current settings will be there. Everything. Beatgrids, cuepoints the whole 9 yards.
If your system resets your folders (shouldnt do) you can use the Back Up you made and just copy over the Settings Folder and Collection.nml which will reinstate all your old playlists etc.

No sweat. Let us know how it goes… Pleeeeeeeease backup before you do anything…
Went straight forward thanks, just waiting on a new mixer and an apc40 now
8 weeks till i am back in england for a few weeks, and get my hands on some 1210’s
This times a million. Not sure how I messed up when upgrading to tsp (I think it’s because I did 1.2.5=>1.2.6 then upgraded without firing up traktor inbetween) but I lost my settings. The collection was unharmed.
The backup I’d made before the updates got me all my settings back in no time
Think of the children. Make backups.
