I wasn’t trying for the Xbox look, oops. Yes, the remote is for the LEDs
I have 2 PDX 2000 Mk2’s, that i have loved and abused for about 9 or 10 years now. They are amazing decks and are built to last for sure. I’m stoked to see your customization’s! I have wanted to do some mods to mine, but have held off just because I like to see what others have done/ experienced first. Could you Tell me a little more about how you added the LED ring and got the buttons Flush??
Also do you know if there is a way to internally ground them?
Great post!
Its all fairly straight forwards, the flush start button is my favourite bit, was always catching it by mistake.
That was fixed in about 5mins with a couple of plastic spacers, just unscrew 2 screws put a bit of 2mm plastic with a hole in it between the button and the case.
The LED halo (ring) was more complicated because it needs soldering and drilling a hole for the wires. I used a 5050 RGB led strip off eBay, and cut a ring from 10mm foam to fix it to. I am thinking about making a few of these up for sale, if you’re interested, but not RGB ones as I now think its better to just have 1 colour. If you need any other questions answered I’m happy to help!
As for internal grounding, I imagine it would be the same process as the Technics, my decks never leave the house so I had no need to try it, maybe when I do the next one ![]()
Thanks for the info, and let me know if you end up making a kit. i would do blue LEDs to match the lights on my DJM 850. Im going to try the flush buttons soon.
awesome! this tt would perfectly fit my korg km-402!
