My first digital job

My first digital job

After 2 months of preparing, i finally did my first digital Dj job, with a Macbook, Traktor Pro, and VCI-100SE last night.. and im a happy man

Everything worked, and i even got the time, to feel lazy during the gig.
My biggest concern was my music choices, i´m used to go through my CDs and feel inspired by the tracks on the fly..
But no, thanks to 2 months of hard work, cataloging my playlists into genres..
worked great..

But, there is allways a but.. The dj booth was shaking from the hard bass, and send the vibrations directly to my VCI-100.. and it didn´t seem very happy about it.. specially the jog-wheel (pitchbend) the bass triggered both foreward and backwards, depending the bass vibrations.. and one time during the night, something paused the track.. and concluded that is was the bass again..

anyone have the same problem? and what did you do?

Thomas

Congrats with your gig otherwise

oh Thanks Bento.. I missed that thread. There is the answers i need..
It was my plan to build a case for the VCI and somehow integrate it with my
Macbook in the lit.. seems i have to push that plan a little closer now

When i come up with a plan for the case.. i will gladly post the drawings and pictures here.. for your all…

Thanks again..

Cool look forward to checking it out.

I checked the search but couldn’t find how to switch off the platters (minus changing the MIDI setup of course). Any hints? I swear I saw it mentioned somewhere sometime… sigh
