My first proper mix on VCI 100, thoughts?

I know theres probably a ton of errors in this, if you guys could tell me about them i would love the criticism, so far to untrained ears everyone is like this sounds great! So i want the real honest feedback..

I really need to work on my phrasing, then actually making it interesting by mashing it up. I still haven’t got the to understand properly how the mapping works with all the effects etc, I suppose i should just experiment huh?

What do you guys think of harmonic mixing, does that really help you when it comes to layering tracks on top of each other like B33SON does in his youtube video:

I listened to about half of this in the car today and I have to give you props, I didn’t notice one technical flaw in that period. The audio was great, transitions were smooth. No hiccups that I could catch.

As you say, the phrasing is pretty basic – but it’s your first go with the gear. I’m about to get my VCI-100 so I’m relieved to hear one can produce something so smooth right out of the gate.

Kill Kill Kill: I’ve done a couple of years on vinyl back in 2005-2007 but basically had two years off, so it wasn’t quite my first experience with mixing.. but I really want to learn to use effects and layering tracks over each other. Also learn more about this harmonic mixing etc..
