my mpd24 controls maschine while my maschine is hooked up. how do i make it not

ok i’m running ableton live and using my mpd to control the drum rack.
i’m also simultaneously running maschine with maschine mk2.

Maschine doesn’t control ableton.. but every time i push a button on the mpd - it will fire a sample on the maschine software.

how do i make the mpd not control maschine.

i want them to run separately.

Might got to do with sharing the same MIDI channel. Hmm?

Go to the maschine software, go to audio and midi settings, go to midi on the far right, and set the status of the MPD to “off”.
