my sad story…=(

hey i was coming back from vacation and on my way back to miami guess what my laugage with my equipment was missing :rage: i got so pissed they sid it probably stay in the other airport …so i relax thinking that they were going to acle to find it… 24 hrs later they said that it wasnt overthere so basically i lost my equipments im so sad and dissapointed to airlines it makes take desiction that i dont want to flight anymore :rage:

lost equipment: my korg zero 4 that i bought like 3 or 2 months ago and my akai mpd 24 that got it like 2 weeks ago :rage::rage: ohh and my headphones

now i have to buy new equipment but im on budget :open_mouth:

Do you have the purchase receipts for your Korg and Akai gear? File a claim with the airline that lost your luggage and show them a copy of your receipts - they’ll compensate you.

No insurance?

This.

My mate works for airport they are obliged to give you the value of the lost gear.

imho you’re obliged to take their first-born

They should have some sort of policy on lost luggage. I’d dig up the receipts of your gear and go to them and be like “Yo bitches, give me back my sheeyit yo”

And after you bail out of jail, you should still have just enough to buy new gear.

oh they won’t arrest you for bad attitude.

how about for taking their first-born

Only if you get caught

True that!

I’m for the first born … Its only fair

an eye for an eye and mixing equipment for the first born. justice prevails once more

Why settle for just the firstborn?

I used to work at the airporn doing baggage, and let me tell you you probably just got ripped off by workers there (it happens all the time) the airline usually does compensate you but there is a ceiling on that, and they fight you over it, and if you somehow manage to prove what’s in the bags, they will give you maybe 20-30% less of the total value inside.
I can only tell you when you travel: stash your stuff in the oldest cheapest most gruffy looking bags you can find, arrive early before your flight and check in your bags as early as possible, so it ends up in the cans first and untouched. Make sure your baggage is secured and locked tight and that it can handle some abuse, and if possible avoid connecting flights (especially if they are small flights) because all the bags get dumped out and have to loaded on a new aircraft and get lost down kilometers of chutes.

how possble would it be to fit a small gps hidden away in your luggage? that way you could follow up on theives, releive them of the limbs and take their second born too :sunglasses:

lol kaon but that seems very smart small gps pretty much lojack on ya suitcase something i will do if i ever start travling for gigs.

lojack on your bag doesn’t do any good when they’ve taken the stuff out and throw away the bag.

I have heard horror stories about people losing stuff on planes and battling with airlines to get money back ! It usually takes a considerable ammount of time and in the end in very nice ways :disappointed:

Sorry to hear about your loss dude that so totally sucks !

yea i try the only is that i dont have the receipt for any well i have the receipt for the akai and maybe the headphones they told me that they not sure that i could get all the money back cuz how can i prove what was on the laugage :disappointed: now im so depressed

thank God i still have my VCI 100,soundcard and laptop but i have a dislocated shoulder in rehab lol so i can’t dj untill next month :open_mouth:
