Yikes, no channel faders or EQ.
It is TINY though.
To be honest, if I was in an emergency situation where I could only have a tiny controller to mix with, I’d dump beatmatching entirely, so I give this a FAIL.
Oh, and because it’s obviously supposed to sit at the bottom of your laptop, can I point out the uselessness of the deck load buttons sited millimetres from a laptop keyboard which has many keys that can be used for this purpose.
this is taking a cue from the Akai and Korg mini controllers.
in that vein, I’d call this a WIN.
I agree it’s going to be a nice nano solution. Sub $100 I guess
although since it doesnt have an audio interface to way to headphone preview.
unless you have an hp envy. then your laptop already does.
so I guess you mac people are out of luck on this one
Looks ghey
Or you just plug in your audio 2 and mix internally…
Who would use this SHIT at clubs, and why even get it for home use? Might as well use the keyboard.
Utter crap imo.
cross it with an X1 and I think your rocking.
WIN haha
I commend their efforts to make a Nano-sized controller specifically for DJing, but they have ways to go.
For a cheap emergency controller I’d rather use my old X-Session pro - because even though it lacks a multitude of buttons, it has knobs, which I find to be more important.
Still, it’s worth a consideration if it’s priced in the range of Korg’s Nano controllers.
Why not just go w either an X1 or midifighter?
I’m curious what kind of midi data this sends. If the faders and knobs send CC values, I could see using this as an effects controller; especially if the wheels sent useful data. Anybody know?
faders and knobs are always CC
well, 99% of the time. there was some controller (i think reloops) that had button knobs or some crap
this, nanokontrol, and an lpd8 would be perty niceee
nanocontrollers are bullshit.
^^^^
but very cheap bullshit ![]()
i find my nanokontrol useful for the amount of controls for size/price. my nanokey is tbh rather shite but just about does the job as i don’t have a normal (musical) keyboard here.
yep that controller does look rather shit. a couple of lpd8’s would be much more useful if you really had to use controllers that small/price etc.
that’s fine,
but you can find cheap midi controllers on craigslist that aren’t bullshit.
shop around you can probably score a used oxygen8 for 50-70$ no problem.
