I have a Spectra for six mounths and now I have a 3D.
My problem is to update the firmware of this two MidiFighters.
Until now, it was not a problem for the Spectra, but for the 3D I hope an update solve some problems …
… so I want to update the firmware of the 3D, and why not for the Spectra.
My computer :
Dell Studio 1747
i7cpu Q720 1.60GHz
RAM 4Go
OS :
win 7 64bits Familial Edition Premium
SP 1
So,
In the MidiFighter Utility, I still have the same message regardless the computer is connected to internet or not :
error message : … (could not reach DJTechTools.com)
and the “Update” button is grey, unusable.
(exactly the same for the spectra)
I immediately thought of a firewall problem but it is always the same even with the firewall disabled.
I precise I use this computer on internet only rarely … only when I can’t do otherwise for update something or activate other thing.
So, I don’t have antivirus, firewall or others internet tools (only windows firewall and it’s disabled).
Someone has a solution for me ?
Can I install new firmware manually ?..
… a firmware that I could download and use in Utility with Tools / Midifighter / Load Custom Firmware / For a 3D or Spectra
I just installed openSSL (and VisualC++ too) , but it’s always the same problem … Midifighter Utility do not connect on internet, always the same message.
… must do something with openSSL ??

I want to update the firmware because I feel my MF3D doesn’t work fine, so I want to see if an update could fix bugs (restarts unlikely, parameters unchangeable on utility whose the sleep time while the MF bug on sleep …)
If not, I have to return the MF to change it while there is still time.
Do you think this bugs can be corrected with an update ?
