Need help with S4 Effects
My S4’s effects have never worked. No matter what the dry/wet is set to, what effects, how many, nothing.
What am I doing wrong here? 
User error? Could you go into more detail? I can’t really help from what you’ve given me. Do you have your FX banks assigned to the deck you’re using?

yeah I know that’s noobish but I think that may be what it is. how do you assign the FX banks to the proper deck?
when I turn any of the FX knobs, the visual on the screen responds appropriately but no sound is heard.
please read the manual..
you have to check the 4 boxes saying ‘1’ & ‘2’ in the mixer section to assign the FX bank..
what do you mean with “no sound is heard” no sound at all or just the dry signal without fx?
is the effect on? are they assigned to be insert or send fx?

Along with the Fx bank button in the mixer section, you also have to turn on the effect. That is either the button under the dry/wet knob if you are using a single effect in advanced mode, or it is the button under the corresponding knob if in group Fx.
thanks for the help everybody. I got it working, it had something to do with the bank buttons in the mixer section.
