Need some help on cutting

i dj mostly house and trance music, and i like to blend my decks together, but i realize that i need more techniques in my repertoire and would like some tips on cutting. i realize that this is probably more difficult with trance music, but with house, do you guys have any tips on cutting between records

house is a massive genre

i guess i mean stuff thats not as progressive sounding, stuff with lots of ambiance blending synth lines wouldn’t be as suitable for cuts

This might go along the lines of harmonic mixing as well, but have you ever messed around with drop-swapping? I find it can be pretty fun when done right.
