wow - I haven’t heard the term “darkstep” since the late 90’s… don’t think it’s really around anymore… most people call it techstep/neuro these days don’t they?
There’s more variation out there, techstep and neuro are just what’s currently popular. As soon as I work out how exactly to DJ core n bass without resorting to loads of cuts I’m determined to go out an educate people of gabber kicks and amen breaks
haha - yeah… I guess I had a knack for sniffing out talent before they blew up… I’ve worked with people like Noisia, Prolix, Sunchase, Robot Death Squad (aka Hybris), Desimal, etc - quite a few of them before they got big.
it’s just a shame I’ve totally gone off dnb these days
Been properly into dnb since around 1995… just over half my life! It just doesn’t excite me like it used to… also I feel too old to be going to dnb raves lol
more into progressive breaks/house etc now
