new 80’s dubstep/breaks tune. unfinished , thoughts ?
new tune I’m working on with some (in my opinion) pretty funky sampled vocals off of the 80’s

what areas to ppl think needs work ?
Mastering and re-sampling could always come last. The drums and snares needs a harder attack. What samples are you using as for percussion anyways? Maybe another offset bassline?
I like it. Feel like it has a ton of a potential. The drums need to be a LOT punchier though.

yea its completely unmastered atm, even the mixing levels are far from perfect, was just a ruff render to see what ppl thought really.
can’t remember exactli where those samples are from , think the kick mite be a basic xfer one , snare sounds like it mite be out of an electo sample set , there all mixed together on my comp.
think i need to vary the 2nd big baseline drop so it fits in with the lead synth line more , atm its just a direct copy of the bass from the first drop.

chears mate glad u like it, i kinda feel the same way, think a lot of its down to how well the sample fits the tune for me
and yea your 100% rite on the drums , I’m so weak at drum production, there still pretty basic atm , no layering of processing bar a bit of reverb, and they need to be varied a bit too , ill add in some more hats , and incidentals
as it is not its only had about 5 hours work on it, started it on friday and iv had a load of uni work , but I’m gna get back on it tmoro night !
