New American Audio MXR mixers (Midi )

New American Audio MXR mixers (Midi )

I dont remember how i stumbled on this but its been on my mind for some time

They are new mixer that are midi mapable to a lot of dj software(comes bundled with VDJ)

the 14 in 4 channel is really what caught my attention

Dont really know much about this company
wondering what you guys think

I dont see a point for 2 mic inputs.. But the fact its a midi controller as well as a mixer is dope!

A very valuable feature for mobile DJ’s. I would not buy a mixer without 2 mic inputs.

Makes sense for that sort. I always forget about the wedding dj.

I should probably get into that gig cause there are a couple businesses around here looking for mobile djs. 50+ gigs a year

Got me totally thinking DJM- SX…

I mean, between the Z2 and this,it might just be…

What does “mobile DJ” mean…? Is that an overly-generous way of saying “bar DJ”?

you go around to various events and parties and such and DJ. A bar would be the same club or whatever so I dont think its “mobile”

If this had been out before the anouncment of the DDJ SX I would have got the MXR14 and was planing on doing that after I first saw them being demoed at NAM. It is basicly a VMS4.1 without jogs and some buttons. This is going to be a nice mixer for sure. But I saw the DDJ SX and it ordered and should be here on monday so no MXR to me.

P.S. I you don’t use the Mics they can be mapped for FX in Traktor

dual MC’s duh

Mobile DJ - a guy who bring his own equipment to gigs.

That would be about 90% of the DJs out there…

I personally dont bring my own speakers or lights..

But If I were hosting the event probably.

But you bring “your own equipment” in some way.

Does anybody know when these are going to be released (sorry if I’m completely out of the know)?

I think it comes out this month cause some sites have it

Back on topic guys

While not exactly on topic for this thread, I didn’t want to start a new one as its about this product directly.

Does anyone know if this can be used with Traktor? I want to get rid of my Audio 6 and this seems to be a great, college-budget-effective way to do that. I read somewhere that Traktor needs their soundcards to work but I figured I’d ask.

ON the vid on the first page, the spoke person said it will be able to be mapped to traktor. Ive emailed them about this and they have not given me an answer yet, so just have to wait and see.

Yeah, I saw that too. the timecode was never mentioned so I wasn’t sure. I already have a midi controller so if that all I can use with the MXR is wouldn’t be much of a good investment

Anyone got one of these yet? What does the quality feel like on the pots and faders? How’s the sound output?
