OSX as in the Apples OS?..Is that really possible cus ive given the it some thought and asked my computer savvy friends if it was possible and they told me that it was a negative…
dell will probably be fine, some people have bad experiences with customer service and thats all you hear about. ive used dells at home and work and they have always been fine.
Installing os x on a machine designed for windows, will never be as stable as a clean, streamlined XP installation. I subscribe to the view that XP SP3 is much better, easier to tweak and run than OS X for music.
The hard drive on that model may be a tad slow, can you get 7200 rpm?
I was IT support for a company running aprox 8 dell laptops. I had to call dell maybe twice also but that was in 5 years. Service was pretty good. The only problem i find is the language barrier when speaking to india but it only seems to be the receptionists in india, you eventually get through to uk when you need support.
I think dell just get bad mouthed and everyone poss jumps on the bandwaggon … anyone got any real stories?
I’ve had my Dell Latitude (still do) for 6 years now. I will be retiring it from DJing after I get my new one in a week. In other words, it is still a beast for the club. Dell has been real good to me. Lets hope they keep it up.
