New Denon MCX8000 no computer controller

What are your thoughts about the new Denon Controller picture posted here ?

All I know is that it looks awfully sexy…

Oohhh! …hopefully 4 channels of onboard mixing (rather than just 2).

So presumably a revamped onboard version of “engine” is driving this?

…& Serato, if you connect it to a standard computer?

I’ve currently got an MC4000, which i’m really pleased with. If they’ve carried over the general build quality / layout etc, then i’ll be having a good look at this.

It looks really really good, interested in what the price point is…

Damn, that looks nice.
4 channel DDJ-RX from Denon. I suspect new Engine version will be released (considering current one hasn’t been updated in ages and still lacks basic features).

Looks like a ddjsx clone

Very Pioneerish!

I see a serato sticker. Wonder if they will have display support like the NV. God when will NI let someone else use their display info.

Looks crowded. But I like it

Serato sticker = display/native support :+1:

I’m more interested in will it have that feature from MC6000 mk1 where the middle mixer section does external mixing while the jog sections controls deck functions in software (like a standalone mixer + 2 single deck controllers on both sides). But probably not, I see no switches on the back.

PS: notice the external power supply and single decimal BPM point on the display. Also, LAN port on the back → for browsing on the iPad (Engine) via LAN hub with wifi (same as SC3900/2900 players)?

It’s “funny” how this teaser is completely ignored on the DJTT blog…

I was 99% sure I originally saw the pic on the main blog page in the latest news slider the first time I saw the unit and when I checked back it was gone.

I assumed it was taken down for potential legal stuffs and was surprised to see it buried here in the forums

Maybe someone else can confirm

We contacted Denon and they didn’t allow us to write about it before it’s officially announced. :unamused:

Yet they opened a dedicated subsection and discussion thread on the denondj forum…makes no sense at all if you ask me
Probably means it’s not a official teaser but a leak…

The Denon DJ forum is not owned or run by Denon officially.

Of course.

DJ Worx said that the LAN port could be used to output track meta data for lighting control- meaning you could have DMX controlled light shows- for each track! And as a mobile DJ who loves DMX this does excite me somewhat!

I do like the look of this unit, I recently bought an MC4000 and my colleague uses an mc6000mk2 and I couldn’t be happier with them- the build quality is sky high and they have everything you could ask for in terms of connections etc. My only minor gripe with the 4000 is the loose feel to the pitch sliders compared with the 6000mk2, so will be interesting to see what they have gone with on this unit.

I’m even more excited however by DJ Worx comments about the other incoming Denon product(s) referred to in their article- if it’s an update to the excellent but now very long in the tooth SC2900/3900 (with these kind of screens) I will cry golden tears of happiness!

Here you go guys Denon DJ MXC8000: Hybrid Standalone DJ Setup + Serato DJ Controller

Best news is the price ! @ $1200 this thing is a steal !
