New dj- I lost my registration product key for traktor pro

I am just starting out as a dj and would really appreciate for anyone to help me out. I just bought my new pioneer ddj-t1 and I was about to install traktor and then I find out that I lost the cd case and the registration product key code it came with. Is there anyway that NI would be able to get me that product key?

Probably more of a question for the NI forums mate. Send the customer service people an email.

When you get it running come back here and do us a review though!

Will do. Thanks man

How did you lose the CD case if you havent even installed it yet dude..?
Goto the NI website and use contact Registration support. They are the only people that can help.

You may need to prove purchase of the DDJT1 with a receipt cus NI wont know if you are a genuine owner without proof as they do not bundle the software, Pioneer do. In fact in some cases of 3rd party hardware the manufacturer is resonsible for giving out replacement serial numbers.

log in on the NI site, you’ll find your registration key there.
I threw away my registration key last week and had to re-install yesterday.

Edit:
Well.. only if you’ve registered the key already. Is it a first clean install or are you re-installing?
If you just simply lost the key i don’t know if NI can do anything for you.

Yeah thats the issue. Unregistered software isnt in a users support account yet so cannot be viewed on the support site.

If he has a receipt either NI or Pioneer will help, most likely Pioneer.

Did you lose it from the box to your computer?

this may be sneaky but… might pioneer be more likely to help you if you say there was no CD in the box?

Hahaha very sneaky! Fu*ked up too though! Cause if you (we) suggest people continue to do this it will lead to major issues for Pioneer etc, and we already know how over priced that shit is. If they have to increase the price to keep up / compensate for people doing things like that then the price for the end consumer (us) will increase as well.

Or they should rethink how they bundle the installation CDs so they can’t get lost :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m sure contacting Pioneer with the hardware s/n and purchase receipt should be more than enough. If it doesn’t, it’s a painful lesson to learn.

I worry about this too. I upgraded from Traktor LE when I bought my X1…

I recently cleaned out my whole email account, it’s a gmail account and I thought anything ‘starred’ would stay in the starred folder so it would all be safe. F*ck was it, lol, it’s all gone baby! so I no longer have the info. DIV! lol

I reckon I am safe though, as it’s registered and used, so must be logged somewhere with NI.

pony, I think you can get your reg number from your NI account if you login online.

or click more info in the service center

yea once registered you can access your reg code at anytime via service center

they should either screen print, or sticker the serial to the hardware it was bundled with. like what microsoft do when you buy a new computer that has windows on it.

EDIT: but seriously, how the heck do you looses the cd/serial between opening he box and installing it?
