new laptop…any good??

ello peeps,

so its come to the sad day that i think that my trusty hp isnt quite cutting it any more, its starting to struggle with effects and when running my main controller and nanopad. I’ve seen a new hp (manufacturer refurb) with full 12 month warranty for £300, im on a VERY tight budget as didnt really plan for this. also i want to stick with windows. the spec is below, let me know what you guys think…

going to upgrade to 8gb ram before i even install anything so can count that in the spec too

what was the specs of the hp?

nb4 get a mac

the old hp only had 120gb hdd, 1.6ghz celeron m single core and 3gb ram running xp pro, id love a mac but cant afford it right now :disappointed:

also thinking of replacing the optical drive with a caddy and swap my 3.5" external hdd for a 2.5 in the caddy to save having it external.

honestly, you could leave out the 8 gigs of ram, that computer will run plenty fast with a clean install of win7

Yep I agree that spec will run Traktor no problem!!
