New laptop
I wanna get a new laptop for using for djing anyone recommend a gd one to go with and will i need a usb sound card as well if i want to recording my set ?
Here is my setup
2*cdj 2000 and a djm 400 mixer
Anything with a good processor, probably get an external hard drive.
You should be able to record straight through the software you’re using. No usb cards needed really.
Think Also about good harddrive (7200 rpm or SSD) and maybe à Nice genuine illuminated keyboard
@ OP, what’s your budget? I work in computer retail for a living and have 11 years of computer/technical knowledge under my belt. I can make you some good suggestions.

That’ll be far more easier if you have no limit…
I use an alienware m11x. It’s Highly customisable gamer laptop (wich means BEAST), with some fancy features (illuminated multicolor keyboard, very useful in the dark). The only issue is the geeky design, if you don’t like it (if you like it, well… it’s a plus)…
You can also turn to High-end laptops like Dell XPS (a never-ending must have), or the most powerfull ultrabook of many brands…
You could always just be like everyone else and get Apple.

actually just kidding Apple’s pretty damn good when it comes to audio and they’re pretty reliable. Just outdated.
