I need this in my life. I need price asap
I literally just bought a Pioneer PLX-1000, which surprisingly looks just like the new Technics Turntable. I wish they kept the classic Red/Green LED layout. Perhaps with the new series being released it might bring Technics 1200 prices down, I guess we will see.
So beautiful.
It all looks a bit shiny for my liking.
Look forward to seeing it for real, though…
I think this is just the special addition featured. Hopefully the normal model coming out later in the year will be closer to the O.G mk2-5 style.
I read this earlier and came instantly. At first I thought I was having a wet dream. I pinched myself and screamed like a little girl from excitement that this is real life.
Very cool, but we’ll see about the price. My mkii’s are still functioning quite well, so no need to pick these up for me.
we keep having this…where are the new pics and/or proof…cripes…

I am so happy they are re-releasing them!!! Missed my chance to get one when DMC gave gold 1200’s as a trophy. Hope they start again. Recently got a pair of mk5’s (for a steal too, 1000 for very lightly used pair of backups). I think the GAE will have a different feel though. It didn’t look like it had a quartz mechanism. But SOOOOOOOOOO HAPPY![]()
I haven’t posted in a long time on here, but this news has me super excited enough to do so! Wonder if we’ll see any modeling of this at the NAMM show in two weeks? Just another reason to look forward to Summer.
They are looking very nice indeed
MY SL1210-MKIIs would agree with the shiny factor if they weren’t so busy yelling at me for not playing with them enough.
My 1200 M3D’s are still performing great after 15 years of solid use with vinyl and DVS. New RCA’s and pitch recalibration is most likely in my future for my decks (maybe some mods). I’m doubtful I could justify springing for the 1200G’s. Technics’ fatal flaw is if you take care of them, they should last a lifetime. However, its great to see Technics back in the scene getting people excited about another (or should I say…original) method of DJing.
I was looking at the PLX at guitar center yesterday afternoon and planning out where it was going to go on the desk and saw the new 1200 yesterday night. So I was pretty close to being in your shoes.
Now Im torn between the 2. As stupid as this may sound, I still think im going to go with the PLX because its all black and will look good next to my all black Pio DDJ-SZ. Considering I wont be using the TT to DJ with but to listen to my record collection, I dont think there is a big enough difference between the 2 to pick one over the other. I dont do this often in life but for once I think I may go with aesthetics…
