The combo I used on the grid uses two Fx units. The first in group mode with a gater, ramp delay and reverb and the second in single mode using a flanger. All parameters are then linked to either the X or Y axis depending on the flavour you want to have.I like the small trail the ramp delay leaves.
EDIT: After doing the video I realised I didn’t share any mix here, and actually I didn’t even record myself for almost a year, more concerned about mapping units than actually playing music. So, I started back and recorded a session (1h30 length roughly)
