No price confirmed yet, but rumors say $500 for the base and $1000 for the Pro.
USB MIDI ? Wonder if the $500 base model will run Traktor ?
i doubt it.
depends if it runs an intel or arm cpu. they made a i5 with 4 gig of ram tablet that would run it no problem, however the arm version of windows wont run normal windows apps
It’s intriguing for me. Being an avid apple user for many years I’m not liking the way it’s going with ‘locked in’ ideology of the operating systems, iOS and the way Mountain Lion seem’s to be heading.
Will A Microsoft ‘pad’ based OS Windows 8 allow free, cheap third party software to be installed eg Running Metro but be able to access the OS in the background. More MIDI tweaking/programming possibilities?

time to jump on an ARM processor DJ solution software developers. If Algoriddim can do it for the iPad then it can be done.
Well the pro has an i5 so I’m guessing it can run anything!

USB3 is also a no go with NI sound cards
ni sound cards work with usb 3 just a touch hit or miss atm, driver update should sort that tho.
but yea if the pro is an i7 it will deffo work, guessing it has 4 gig of ram so should run traktor no probs at all

Wow this looks nice, loving the keyboard integrated in the cover.
The problem is, the cover is soft, so you have to use the kickstand. They really need to bring out a version with a solid keyboard like the Transformer Prime…

You can’t just use the thing like a laptop. For example, how often do you have a fully flat surface in a DJ booth? this thing won’t even stay on a laptop stand…

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t give a fuck about tablets but you fanbois sure are funny.
Its dope to hear that it has a usb port and a i-series processor & ARM. , but looks like a iPad 1st Gen with the case being used as a stand & a plastic keyboard. If its anything like MS previous hardware/software combos. Its going to be more locked down than a iPad. Look at a XBOX, only works with MS BT headseat & MS hard drive. Only time will tell, and see what this little beast of capable of. I would say to keep a close eye on GEEKBENCH to see if any performance stats pop up.
