Anyone else going to a big NYE bash?
I’m playing a small bash at a mate’s place.
DJing a large party at a mates house. When I asked what of music he wanted, his reply was anything I felt like playing. Generally this answer means top 40’s, but I think I’m feeling hardstyle and nightcore… 
Not got anything planned but its pretty much a guarantee there will be decks set up at the party ill be at.
working most of the night and hoping to find a good party afterwards, might hop on the decks for a bit if its a mates house.
I’m nowhere near the level where I’d be comfortable actually playing “out”, so I’ll probably be doing warmup at a mates (who also DJs) party.
Got offered a NYE gig, but I honestly don’t want to work it. I’ve got a little party planned for family and a few friends, cant be doing with the big NYE nights anymore, always end up disappointing!
Personally, I am not playing this year.
I played a festival last NYE and it was possibly one of the worst events I have been to.
So yep…chilling this year.
Will be fiddling with my Innofader…

It was just plain SHYTE!
It was a Band Concert type festival event for 3 days. So the majority were there to see bands.
When they were done, the DJin started etc.
Aaaahh man…it was fucking far to get there, got a HUGE ticket on the way. As I got to the booth when I arrived, it was already distorting. The knob playing before me was so shockingly bad…as was his G/F who was going ON and ON about how good he was etc.
He is a legend…but was ABSOLUTELY CRAP that night.
Then when i started, the crowd was loving the different vibe I had to the previous tossers…only to have it start raining.
There was ZERO protection from the elements… we were on a farm…next to a river.
So when it started pouring, i put my gear away. The idiots just left the system on…lights blinking…water pouring on the amps…flight case was now a pool.
It was just so badly organized.
I pride myself on being professional, so I just HATED all that BS.
When the sun came up I left.
Sounds truly horrendous…
Got offered one in one of the bigger clubs in my town but im not interested, NYE’s one of the few nights i get a proper night out with my mates,
Me i aint.. Im gonna go to a party where some awesome local DJs are hitting up.. Good time to let you my free booze reserves…

I am however going to circus which is on boxing night to see Loco Dice and Yousef, amongst others
Wish I had a NYE gig. I need to befriend more people who throw house parties. I got invited to spin at one that my ex will be at. But my current gf will be with me. So… yeah probably best to pass on that one.
I’ll be at spinning at a Diplomats House. They booked me awhile back and I had to do a background check and a bunch of other nonsense. Apparently some senator and his daughter will be there too. So that means Guns, Alcohol, and great music.
Black tie event, even me. Was thinking of rattling the trees and showing up with a suit painted on!
